Privacy

Who

This site belongs to me, Placido Falqueto, in Treviso, Italy. I am the data controller. For anything about your data, write to hello@placidofalqueto.com.

What this site does not do

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking. The fonts are served from this site. Nothing from another service loads unless you ask for it (see Newsletter below). If you switch between light and dark, the choice is stored only in your browser’s local storage and never sent anywhere.

Hosting logs

The site is served by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which processes technical data such as your IP address, browser user agent, the URL you request and the time, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare acts as my processor; data may be transferred to the US under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. It is kept for Cloudflare’s short log retention period. I don’t keep logs of my own.

Email

If you write to hello@placidofalqueto.com, the message is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to my personal inbox. I keep it as long as I need to reply and to keep our conversation, unless you ask me to delete it. The legal basis is legitimate interest and your own request.

Newsletter

The newsletter runs on Substack (Substack, Inc.). On the home page, the Substack signup form loads only if you click “Show the signup form here”; until then your browser does not contact Substack. Once loaded, or if you follow a link to placidofalqueto.substack.com, Substack receives your IP address and browser data and sets its own cookies, under Substack’s privacy policy. If you subscribe, Substack stores your email address and shares it with me as the publisher: I use it only to send you the newsletter, and you can unsubscribe from any issue. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The list of latest issues on the home page is fetched when I build the site, not by your browser.

Booking a call

The “Book a call” and “Approval Audit” links open Calendly (Calendly LLC), a separate site. Nothing from Calendly loads on this site. If you book, Calendly processes the name, email and answers you give it under Calendly’s privacy notice, and shares them with me so that we can meet. I keep them as long as I need them for our conversation and any work that follows. The legal basis is your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Calendly may transfer data to the US under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You can ask me for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability (Arts. 15–21 GDPR) by writing to the address above. You can also complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
